Brankas Support
Direct
-
As a client, how do I know what rails (instaPay or PESONet) are being used for an inter-bank transfer?
instaPay is the default rail for transactions.
-
Can I refund/reverse a transaction?
CURRENTLY, refunds and reversals are not enabled in the Brankas Direct Service, since this entails storing end-user credentials to facilitate these types of transactions.
-
Can this Request Payment feature do bulk invoice upload?
Brankas can provide a bulk invoice feature that will allow end users and client back end to programmatically generate multiple invoices and associated payment links.
-
Can we add multiple destination bank accounts from different countries?
Yes, you can. But note that we have mappings of what bank can transfer to whom. For instance, BCA (Indonesia) cannot transfer to BDO (Philippines).
-
Can we add multiple destination bank accounts?
Yes. You can add an arbitrary number of destination bank accounts.
-
Can we customize the look of Direct? If yes, how does that work, is there a template or a platform?
No for Direct only. Yes to minimal customization of the IDP flow so that it is more inline with your UI and UX branding. Customization is implemented using our APIs.
-
Can we have a combination of intra-bank transfers and a settlements partner? How to do that?
Yes you can. You just need to specify the following parameters per bank
-
Can we use the Bank Selector page so that when an end-user initiates a fund transfer to any bank, Brankas Direct will automatically orchestrate an intra-bank fund transfer? (for example, end-user clicks BDO, it uses the BDO destination account, if BPI, it uses the BPI destination account)
At a certain extent, we can. If you have a single destination/settlement account, you can put the Pay by Brankas button for the end-user.
-
Do I need to set up/anything with any of the partner banks to enable them as a bank option?
BPI Integration - For a BPI integration, you will need to have a BPI account as they are currently limited to intra-bank transfer capabilities only.
-
Do we already have a procedure for a client who is ready to go live?
When you are ready to move into the production environment send an email to support@brank.as.
-
Does an end-user need to log in each time for a transaction? Are we able to do account linking?
CURRENTLY, a customer would need to log in his credentials for every transaction.
-
Does the IDP open on a separate webpage from the app? (for example, upon clicking, web browser application opens?)
The IDP is designed to have a web view inside the mobile application.
-
For banks that do not allow an inter-bank transfers (scrapers nor APIs), what do you recommend?
Brankas recommends leveraging a settlements partner so that an end-user can still use that bank to transfer to another bank.
-
How do I trace and reconcile the total number of transactions?
CURRENTLY, We have APIs that will allow them to pull all your transactions from the transaction database to assist with the reporting.
-
If instaPay is not available for any reason, is it possible to do a fund transfer (up to P50,000) via PESONet instead?
Availability of inter-bank rails depends on the banks.
-
If we don’t want to use a settlements parter (instaPay or PESONet rails) and we don’t want to charge our end-users with an inter-bank fund transfer fee?
We encourage you to set up multiple destination accounts to be able to work around this.
-
If we have a settlements partner, do we still need to have the bank buttons/bank screens set up on our app?
No, you don’t need to set it up, it should automatically adapt an intra-bank fund transfer payment to the settlement bank.
-
Since payments are processed via inter-bank transfer. Can the end-user choose between instaPay and PESONet? If not, what method do you use? If the method is instaPay, how does a customer transact with more than P50,000?
Usage of inter-bank rails (instaPay, PESONet, PDDTS. etc ) is limited by the banks the end-user will utilize for the specific fund transfer transaction. We only use instaPay or PESONet (and some banks are limited to instaPay, for example BDO).
-
The API states that we can define the payment channel. How does this work? What other payment channels do you support?
Payment channels are just for specifying settlement partners right now.
-
What are the features and benefits of this feature?
This feature helps standardize the process for individuals requesting funds or online sellers collecting payments.
-
What are the possible reasons for failed transactions in product environment? How do I escalate this problem to Brankas for resolution?
Send screenshots of the error to the Brankas team.
-
What are the transaction amount limits?
Transaction Amount - min: PHP 100.00, average: PHP 200,000.00 max: PHP 11,000,000
-
What are the ways we can integrate with Direct?
A client may integrate with Brankas Direct or via our Brankas Identity Provider (IdP).
-
What do we need to build out on our front-end to enable fund transfers to multiple destination accounts?
You need to go back to the from parameter, specify the bank codes for the different settlement banks you want to receive payments to, and implement the buttons so that it shows on your app interface.
-
What if we don't specify where the end-user will be coming from?
Direct will automatically load the Bank Selector page, with BDO on top as the bank that can execute an intra-bank fund transfer, and the rest of the banks that can execute inter-bank transfers.
-
What if we don’t want to use the IDP and just want to integrate via API? What preparations/challenges might I encounter?
API integration is possible but you would need to oversee corresponding authentication flows on a per bank basis, which may take longer for integration.
-
What interface is used for this facility?
Brankas will only provide the Request Payment APIs, so we will utilize existing interface(s) of client application as available.
-
What is the customer journey after a successful transfer?
After completing the transaction, the end user is redirected back to the client’s mobile application after a standard one (1) minute. The end user may also opt to click on “Done” button to be redirected back to the mobile application.
-
What is the Request Payment function?
The Request Payment API will enable the end users to request money by generating a link from within the client mobile application, which they can send to their corresponding customers or network.
-
What payment rails are used to facilitate intra-bank/ inter-bank transfers?
instaPay and PESONet - Brankas Direct is capable of using instaPay and PESONet to perform electronic fund transfers to bank accounts in other financial institutions that are on these national payment rails.
-
When and why should we opt for a Brankas settlement partner?
For financial institutions not currently on the instaPay and/or PESONet network, Brankas Direct is capable of moving funds to such institutions via our settlement partner.
-
Where can we find documentation for customization?
The document is in the works, but our our Sales and Product teams can provide any information you may require.
-
Who are the ideal customers for this feature?
This service is white label version of Brankas’s own Brankas Pay service for small and micro online merchants.
-
Why is there no “Forgot Password” feature on the TFA State?
Brankas aims to facilitate the fund transfer process only. Any other bank related services such as “Forgot Username/Password” or resetting of password is out of scope of the Brankas Service and recommended to be done on the end user’s bank portal.
